#HINCKLEY RUNABOUT 34 WINDOWS#
Other boat companies have offered retracting windows but Hinckley is the first to make the door retract fully as well. This enclosure will satisfy those owners who like the openness of an express boat, but like the sense of security afforded by a solid enclosure for inclement weather. The boat will feature a technological first: a glass pilothouse rear enclosure, with door, that completely disappears with a touch of a button. An impressive new element on the Talaria 43 came about through listening to current Hinckley owners. Several notable new features distinguish the T43 design from her sister Hinckley models and other boats in the marketplace. The timeless good looks of the Talaria line are readily apparent in the new boat, as is Hinckley’s penchant for evolution through design and technological innovation. And the company chose a unique setting in which to do so, from the cockpit of the full-scale mock-up of the new model. In the eve of the Newport International Boat Show, Hinckley president and CEO Jim McManus announced the Talaria 43, its third new powerboat model in as many years. Speed estimates are for a max of 34 knots. Engine is a standard 550hp Cummins with Hamilton water jet, and optional Volvo 435hp with IPS pod drives. In the new T43 we see Hinckley continue its support to water jet propulsion, but also its recent added choice of Volvo IPS pods. An important detail of the T43 will be the touch of a button disappearing enclosure which splits the outside from the inside when closed, and unites them when open. The galley on the T43 is located on the forward port side of the main deck, adjacent to the helm station opposite. She is a two cabin, one en-suite one guest shower head below traditional cruiser, with the focus being on the entertainment area of the main deck. The designers at Hinckley with the new T43 where thinking to increase space and designed a wider boat compared to the three inches longer T44, thanks to an extra foot of beam. It is a totally new Hinckley, the T43 represents the way forward for the down East Rhode Island located highly estimated boat builder. Jim passed away after a brave and unflagging battle with cancer. #HINCKLEY RUNABOUT 34 SERIES#
The company developed and launched a series of five highly successful new models and acquired Hunt Yachts in 2013 under Jim’s leadership. Jim was instrumental in attracting new investment to Hinckley in 2010. Never boastful or arrogant, Jim was the consummate optimist finding the best in everything and bringing out the best in all of those he touched. He worked tirelessly to see the company through its darkest times in 2008-9, and led the company to the extraordinary heights it has reached in recent years. Jim was appointed to the role in June of 2007 and was often heard to call it his dream job. The Board of Directors and the employees of the Hinckley Company mourn the passing of their friend and Chief Executive Officer, James P.
